Ixoras "enanas"

Ixora es un género de plantas  pertenecientes a la familia de las Rubiáceas que florece  todo el año. También se conoce como cruz de Malta o coralillo. Las plantas pueden crecer hasta formar arbustos de tamaño mediano. Producen una gran cantidad de racimos de flores pequeñas, cuyos colores van del naranja rojizo intenso al blanco. Florece casi todo el año.

Es una planta  muy resistente al fuerte sol de los trópicos, sin embargo, requieren de un clima bastante húmedo o de abundante agua.



 

Hay varias tonalidades del color de las flores: amarillas, rosadas y blancas. En nuestro país suele verse a menudo formando setos en plazas y parques.

  1. Yara, we love Ixora too, especially the dwarf varieties. Not only are the flowers stunning, but they bloom profusely throughout the year. Truly reliable to brighten one's garden, right?
    The yellow and red in the last photo are a great combination!

    Thanks for visiting my blog ... The Ixora are noble plants that brighten the garden, pruning and can support any shape ... I have both in my garden and flower are red. Good idea to introduce a yellow flower.
